Sounds like they are doing everything for him. I had a child who was very sickly-if he got a cold-he would get pneumonia. Was in hosp several times. We kept a humidifier in his room-and also did the shower/steam as David suggested. Perhaps, when Chuck gets home-you can ask your vet if a humidifier would help. So glad they are having a plan to treat him as they are! Praying for your little fella'. He is so cute! Be strong, Chuck!

I'm glad your vet decided on the antibiotics. I know it's scary seeing your Chuck in his oxygen tank and with IV's but it sounds like he's getting the treatment he needs. When Tate was 10wks old he also was in an O2 tank after he electrocuted himself. It was very scary and touch and go for a couple days but he pulled through, and I know Chuck is a fighter and he will pull through this too. Stay strong and we are here for you.

We are here for you I have no experience with pneumonia in dogs but the humidifier sounds like a really good idea. Sheldon and I will be sending positive thoughts and prayers.

Little chuck has been in oxygen for 4 nights. No significant improvement yet. Does anyone think it could be canine flu instead of pneumonia??

Still praying for you little Chuck, that he will rally and start to have much improvement. Sorry, I don't know about canine flu.

I would think they would know as well. They don't tell us so much it's hard to get straight answers. A tracheal wash showed positive and negative gram bacteria so that makes me think pneumonia, but I am not an expert. Would love any input.

Just checking in on Chuck, I was hoping to read that he was getting better, I'm so sorry he's still at the vets. It sounds like he's a fighter, and I hope he turns the corner soon. Get better Chuck, we're all praying for you.
