Sorry for the gross pic, but Matilda has had this weird bumpy scab near her lady parts for about a week now. I first noticed it last week and assumed maybe she cut herself (we were on vacation at a lake recently, there were a lot of plants and shrubs she was playing in). She went to the groomers after that and it looked much better. Now it looks worse, so I'm wondering if they just irritated her scab and now it's grown bigger.

Also, Matilda has a grass allergy, so it is possible that she went through some grass and gnawed at the spot before we realized it/cleaned it.

It doesn't seem to be infected and I've been cleaning it with an antiseptic. If I poke at it, she doesn't flinch or seem to notice at all. Here are the pics.

What do you think? Does this look like something that warrants a vet visit?

I agree w/Phil… that last one makes it look big. Plus the fact that it keeps coming back...

Yeah...I'm with Phil and Tracey. Strange that it seemed to be better and now it's not...

Yeah I also agree with Phil, Tracey, and Kathleen. Have the vet check it just to be safe. Hope it's nothing serious, and it heals soon

Hi guys!! Yes, we have an update! It was nothing. The vet said to wait it out and the scab just fell off on its own. Seems that she just scraped herself playing in the wilderness! Vet also said the scab probably just got bigger because the groomer's irritated it. Whew! The little princess is totally fine!
