Now being my first bully I have noticed something since the day we took him home. He has red eyes not his eye balls are red but like red around them. Is this common?

I would like to see a pic, because some are a little red and that is normal.

Like David said a pic will help. Are the eyes red all the time or just after periods of excitement or playing?

The eyes itself look good to me. There may be a bit of irritation around the eyes themselves though due to allergies or another irritant. What foord is he eating?

Agree, they look good but a little pink which could be allergies, or even teething.

I feed him grain free Canidae dig food. He is chewing on everything he can get a hold of. I bought him chew toys but hard to find one he just really likes.

OMG.... he is so darn cute! His eyes look good.... probably tetthing as Lisa stated -- try to give him cold toys, maybe place one in the freezer as it helps with the teething. Did you get any deer/elk antlers... they tend to LOVE those
