Help Needed! Itchy skjn

Now I read that bulldogs can get a skin problems if the breed is not very good. But I know Rambo parents are good. But Rambo has been itching here and there not a lot but when he does he starts to whine. I checked him over and it does not look like it is flaky or anything. I do not see any fleas or anything. Now I know here in Oregon we get little tiny mites so small you cannot see them. But I do not know if that is it. I took him down and he got a puppy bath and did not itch for a few days. But now he is back at it. So anyone have any ideas? And does anyone know what to use if it could be mites and how can I tell?
