So I just wanted to let you all know that Loki is up to 59.6 pounds! He is slowly putting the weight back on that he lost after his big seizure on 8/15. The hives are slowly going away from the food we tried to switch him too and his seasonal allergies seem to be slowing for now. We moved one of the couches to the window and made it so he can look outside if something startles him or he gets bored during the day he seems to love it. We have been making sure that he is getting enough sleep over the weekends and leaving him a treat when ever we leave. We still don't know what caused his seizures and may never know but all we can do is hope that the medicine does its job and he continues to get stronger and healthier everyday :) 20130929_130912.jpg

That is great news :dancing: Keep up the good work Mama!!! :2thumbs:  No more sezuires

That is FANTASTIC news.... so awesome to hear. LOVE the 'perch' idea for him, perfect use for the sofa ;)

He's looking good and glad he is getting better. What heart worm meds is he on? Just curious, because if it Triflexis, it can cause seizures, and even death.

He had one dose of heart guard plus for 51-100 lbs on 7/18 along with his leprosy vac and rabies vac . On 7/22 is when he started coughing up a lot of phlegm and threw up a bunch of his food on 7/30 is when he had his first small seizure and 8/15 was the grand mal. I didn't give him his second heart worm dosage because something about the first one didn't sit right with me. I don't know if that is what caused it or something else but I asked the vet and she said she hadn't heard of it with heart guard

Glad Loki is getting better! So glad for all of you!

That is awesome news, so glad to hear Loki is doing better, and no more seizures. Hope he continues to improve and the seizures don't come back, hope his medication helps. Our guys are so sensitive, that we never know if a vaccine or a medication is going to give them a reaction. It is scary sometimes, you just never know when even vaccines they've had in the past will cause a reaction or allergy. Love and hugs to you and Loki, and sending prayers your way that he gets better, and the seizures don't return.

Such awesome news! So glad he's on the mend!

Is heart worm prevalent in your area? I find that testing annually helps ease my mind when we choose not to give them preventative meds for it.

I'm so glad to hear Loki is doing much better... that's crazy about the food, I hope you guys can find something that suits him soon!!! :D

Yay Loki!! I'm so glad to hear he continues to improve.

They are recommending we do heart worm preventive annually now. We have only given loki 3 chews so far over his life and he does get tested every year when he goes in for his check up.

WONDERFUL news! Glad he is getting back to his normal self. Love all his little wrinkles in the photo!

Great news, I'm so happy for you!
