cowsmom Scueva FORDE'SMOM: Spent ALL day yesterday at the neurologist and Orthopedic.... There is not nothing they can do. She has issues with her spine (didn't form correctly), her knees also didn't form and she has nothing but fluid and arthritis all over them, and severe hip dysplasia. They said fixing the knees would only cause her neurologic symptoms to worsen (more than what they are now) so they are sorry, but there isn't anything that they can do. I requested gabapentin and he said he didn't know what I have read or so but I have to make my decision and its not going to hurt her so I could try it if I wanted... This morning was her 2nd dose so I am hoping and praying, because I am not letting her go without a fight or knowing that I tried ... she is just a baby.. :(

Im so sorry to hear that about Frankie! She is absolutely adorable! Praying you can find some kind of solution to ease her condition but its obvious she has a loving mom that's going to do all she can for her! Good Luck!

I am willing to try anything... Seriously all they told me is "she has to much going on" so there is nothing they can do to help her. :( so I am looking into that now.

I would maybe look into a hollistic vet? Maybe chiropractic care, hydro-therapy? I dunno just rattling stuff off, I'm dumbfounded they simply said there's nothing that can be done- stay positive!

you know they do make carts for the back legs now perhaps one of those when she cant get around on her own anymore. like the special needs dogs have. not saying she needs it now but just a thought for the future if needed. perhaps laser therapy it helped sarah alot with her broken leg. i would check on everything. hugs from sarah and me.

UPDATE :I called the specialist and asked for a copy of her reports from Mondays visit.... I am completely devastated.... SO her DX are as follows, I guess I can understand why he just said" she has A LOT, orthopedically & neurologically going on.... Neuro findings. are as follows A T3-L3 Myelopathy, Spinal cord abnormalities, hemi vertebrae and block vertebrae, SO he wanted the Orthopedic Surgeon to speak to me regarding ALL the Orthopedic diseases before trying to attempt going any further with the neuro findings. Her whole pelvic area developed abnormal ... elbow incongruity, malaligned patellas, hip dysplasia, bilateral lateral patella luxation.... I will continue to hold onto hope, and pray. but I can say I understand why he didn't give me options Monday. Thank you ALL for your prayers, hugs, and support. I will post accordingly regarding Frankie's Mae's progress.
