No he said that he only pays up to $300.00 and he has to authorize it. Its too funny bc I have already spent OVER that in the last 2 visits. So I said well Ill tell you I am gonna take the 1/2 off the other puppy you would give me and apply it on her medical bills....UGH! I was frustrated , not that he didn't offer, but that he was trying to give me another puppy.. REALLY!

My heart goes out to you... After watching both videos and knowing she only does this sometimes makes me think there is possibly something else going on.... It could be spinal as @2BullyMama pointed out and also @LariP pointed out it does almost seem like she's trying to get an itch. I would check tail pocket, vulva, and under her rear paw pads as well.

I'm curious to know why your vet diagnosed severe hip displaysia but didn't refer you to an orthopedic specialist. Are they considered experts in that field? Most vets are not and always refer to a specialist, that's why I'm wondering.

I hope you get some more answers and soon, this has to be weighing on your heart so heavily!

She said because she wanted to try these medications and other test (bloodwork) where the specialist would start.. but she said its apparent dysplasia on her xrays, but both drs in her office said it would not cause this and thinks there is possibly a spinal issue. Im just getting really impatient bc I feel helpless. They are hoping maybe a tick Bourne disease that they can fix with antibiotics, I was like Hello! just give her a script and they wouldn't incase its not that. I am researching some neurologist in my area because I know it may show dysplasia on the xrays, but I had a german sherpard w/ severe dysplasia and it didn't do this either. I am going home on my lunch break to check her tail pocket and vulva because I did notice last night when I helped her up she was wet back there and looked like she deetled on the floor...

Poor girl. Last thing that came to mind is valley fever- that also effects the hind legs. It's pretty prevalent in Arizona so I'm not sure if its found where you live. Let us know what you find on your lunch break please

I haven't heard of that, im in Missouri, about 35 min south of St. Louis. I will look that up. But she wasn't doing this at the vet and when I was telling both dr's they were like well we really know how she tugs on your heart so shes probably just tricking me , well I took these videos in yesterday and they were surprised,.,, I do baby her, yes.. but im not going to exaggerate about her not using her rear- lol shes smart but come on.. lol I will defiantly post an update on her when I get back from checking on her.

Just got back to the office and she was all happy and running around. I cleaned her tail pocket with duxo pads and it didn't have much hair but it did have a brownish tint too it. and she REALLY seemed to enjoy it more than normal. On the other hand she did have some mucus discharge coming off her vulva area on the pad and REALLY seemed relieved when I was done.... So I am going to call her vet and see what they think.

How has she been since the cleaning? Any better? I've been searching for your update this morning so glad I found it!

well she was her happy go lucky self chasing and bullying her pug brother, lol.. but there is only 2 places here in MO and they told me that I have to wait for her bloodwork to come back before I can bring her in. A good friend of mine viewed the videos and seems to think its IVDD. but I just don't understand why if this is (because her vet originally said a degenerated or herniated disc and being aggravated by from the dysplasia WHY hes making me wait on some blood work to come back... I am loosing patience because I don't (if it is) want it to rupture.. SO I am just having A LOT of snuggle time on the couch with her so she doesn't do further damage. She was really not really motivated this morning and usually shes waking me up to eat..

Thank you for the update, probably want you to wait to make sure it's nothing else. Have fun snuggling.. I would be doing the exact same thing..

S glad to hear she is being herself..... If it is IVDD, Banks has had a form of this, butterfly disc, since we can remember, she goes for monthly laser therapy and takes Gabapetin daily -- and she does not have any restrictions of play, walks or stairs. we watch her and have learned when she may need more meds or an extra laser session. it is all manageable.

Got the call from her vet, they said what he thought, but wanted to make sure. He says ALL her blood test came back normal and negative fr any tick borne diseases and in as he felt since the 2nd visit her doesn't think a Ortho is in need, he said that its all neurologic and referred her to a neurologist. Frankie can't be sedated bc of her reaction to Anastasia so the MRI is out of the question, but the lady at the Neuro's office said that he will work and assist her accordingly. She had already said that Frankie's vet called him to let him know her story... We go at 9:30 Monday morning so I will give everyone an update as soon as I find out what treatments they have. Banks story is REALLY having me hold on to hope here Thank you ALL so much again.
