Ok, so her left eye ulcer is actively healing. We are still giving her the blood serum plus the antibiotic ointment and Atropine. However, I've noticed her right eye is now watery n blinking. I don't see anything in this eye...no scratches, debris, etc. at a recheck on Mon, the vet said she had the little hairs on the inside of her eye..well, her left he n she was thinking maybe that was what bothered her left eye. She didnt mention the right eye, but Brie wasn't squinting then w it. So, can these little hairs be in both eyes and be causing her to blink n look squinty? this has started this week, so is it something she always had or it just recently appeared? Or is her blinking n stuff from allergies? Like I said it just started so I'm not sure. I am going to take her to a new vet and obviously see what is going on but I would like your thoughts as well please. (New vet cos I'm not happy w current. We never see the same vet n wait times are horrendous plus I feel they have been nickel n diming me.)

Have you checked to see if there's a Bully vet by you?

Yes, the specialist we've been taking her to has recommended one we will start using. (The regular vet referred us to a specialist who is absolutely wonderful, but not a general vet). The one recommended has a lot of bully knowledge ...don't know if they are a bully vet tho..haven't seen or heard of any here

Hope she is feeling better soon. Seems like you have been taking 2 steps forward and 1 step back here the past few weeks. Harlea sends Brie kisses.

Yes it is quite possibly entropion, her eyes are swollen and wet around the edges, Lisa sent me some pics last night. Poor sweet Brie, her other eye is bothering her badly too.
Lisabear123 how is Brie doing today?

I gave her a Benadryl yesterday, as you know, n it just put her to sleep..lol she prolly needed the rest tho. Her eyes looked a bit worse so I took her the new vet who showed me the little hairs growing inside the eyelid. He is referring us to the only ophthalmologist in Ga at the university of ga vet in Athens. He said thy sold either freeze the hairs or surgically remove them...by the odd when it rains it pours. My poor baby..just want her to be happy. The vet said she is sleeping so much now cos she is in pain. I cried n cried at the vets office. He sad the procedures can be pricey. Not sure how much either procedure would be. They are calling us on Monday w a referral number to make n appointment. I'm hoping after this, she'll be ok!! We are putting the blood serum and ointment in both eyes in the meantime.

Don't beat yourself up to bad about Brie sleeping a lot, that is just a bully thing. Bacon is a year and a half old and sleeps like it's going out of style. He goes to bed between 930 and 11 at night, is up around 6am for about an hour, then goes back to sleep until about 4-5pm. Kinda wonders around and plays in his day pen until we get home. Even when we are home he still naps so all together on an average weekday he is probably awake for about 4 hours.

Well then let me put it this way. Once she is all fixed up and back at 100% don't be surprised if she still sleeps that much.
