It's back again... The bumps. He's not shedding more than normal, maybe a lil itchy (just gave him some Benadryl) I dd bathe him the other night (less than a week) with his benzoyl peroxide 'follicle cleaning' shampoo. He had demadectic mange when he was a puppy & staph a few years ago-

Any ideas?

huh, don't look good that's for sure. I see the bright pink skin under the hair on his flank. I'd believe it to be dermatitis, but not from fleas. Try a dip, either Happy Jack or LymePlus dip . Have you ever tried the vinegar rinse after his shampoo and rinse? mix 1 cup vinegar to 1 gallon water. pour over him and leave it on. worth a shot;)

He took some Benadryl. He isn't itchy now (I assume from the snoring noise under my desk) I don't think it's fleas because I'm kind of a nut about them... I'm constantly looking for them or their dirt on him and my chihuahua.

What would the dip do? Just soothe his skin? Would the vinegar rinse drink? I did put oatmeal conditioner on him after his follicle cleaning bath-did I do wrong?

Here is what I have on hand at the house from our previous ailments:
Vet Solutions BPO-3 Medicated Shampoo for dogs & cats (keratolytic, degreasing, follicular flushing and antibacterial)
Virbac Genesis topical spray "for the control of pruritus associated with allergic dermatitis in dogs" active ingredient is triamcinolone acetonide 0.015% if that means anything to you.
pyoben gel
and some temaril-p tablets

Just a thought, but he may have reacted to the oatmeal...some bullies are so sensitive
to grains, grasses, etc that even oatmeal shampoos/conditioners, etc will hive them up.

I hope he is doing better today. There is no telling what he was allergic too, but hope what ever it was, he won't get into again.
