Hello. My 15 month old ebd was neutered about 1 month ago.. After this he got another UTI. AS before he was put on Clavamox but one day after getting down and actually watching for his urine stream I noticed he was just dripping urine so I called my vet and she said to bring him in. She said they found cristels in his urinary track and 3 doctors tired to catherdorize ( sorry about the spelling) Well he needed surgery and the surgery was preformed last Wednesday ( like 10 days ago) They told me there would be a lot of blood and because I have insurance an they would do the rapid claims they wanted him to stay hospitalized for 8 or 9 days. I would go see him every day but he was dripping LOTS of blood on the exam room floor. Well this past Thursday I brought him home.. He was not quite himself and to be expected but the following morning when I woke him up at 500am to go outside and potty on the way to the elevator where I live he just lost control of his bodily functions. Fell over on his side and the walk in front if him filled up with pee and blood. I panicked. I thought Buddy was dieing and ran to get my friend up so help me. He was down on the hall floor for a good 3 or 4 mins as I was trying to keep control. get my cell phone ect.. He did get up and I carried him back in my condo.. I called several emergency vets and at the same time he was very tired. I let him rest until 640 and then rushed him to my regular vet where the did a bunch of tests. They did a full blood panel. and EKG and a nuerological exam and keep him for the day.. Well They said everything on his tests looked good except his red cell count was low. Not extremely low but low and I could pick him up yesterday afternoon. I have to clean the area where his sutchers are 2 x daily and apply a topical antibiotic.. All day today he has more or less been sleeping in between 1 hour or so lounging. I called the vet today and she said well I would be resting too but to me.. this surgery was Wednesday the 19th like 10 days ago.. His sutchers are to come out in 4 days? She I e giving him some drops called HI VITE to build up his red cell count.. He is getting better but I am really scared about loosing him. He is only 15 months old. If anyone who might read this and has had any experience with this type of this I would appreciate any feedback.. Thanks everyone
