Is it possible to get this on video? Some one here would then be able to provide some insight for you and Ceasar

Here is the answer I put on the other thread:
Am I sensing that you are not absolutely confident in your vet? Bullies can at times sound like they are not breathing easily. HRH does at time and then at other times she sounds fine. Maybe try to find a bully specialist in your area to take her to.

and :smileywelcome: to EBN.

First of all Hello & Welcome! Thanks so much for joining our team.
Second of all: BruceP has a great point about the feelings regarding your confidence in your vet. 2BullyMama has another great point of a video that would certainly help us form an idea.

My Momo is behind me snoring away and it almost sounds like she has trouble breathing at times. But I've had her for 3 1/2 years so I'm used to the way she sounds and our vet knows a lot about bullys and cleared her (for take off, lol)

Would love to see some pics of your baby!

Edited to once again fix me @ issues

:welcome: and which part of Cyprus are you from?? My Mum and step-Dad live in Limassol .. such a beautiful country!!

And yes, if you could post a video of the noise then we could let you know if it is normal bully puppy breathing or not.

LOTS of phlegm... squirt some lemon juice in her throat to help break it up.

Pokey, I just sent you a private message with links to videos, I hope this helps, even though the bulldogs are Frenchies, it sounds the same as your baby and is very well explained.

Ace just recently got over a respiratory infection and was on antibiotics for 10 days. But his was more hacking and would occasionally hack up mucus. Some bulldogs have elongated palate which sometimes requires surgery but I couldn't speak to that, others with more experience here could give you guidance on that. I don't think you are being paranoid never having owned a bulldog it would be expected. I don't know what your vet told you other than it was normal. If the vet didn't he/she should have explained it better to you to relieve your fears if they determined nothing was wrong. But we understand your anxiety about it. That's one of the reasons this forum is so useful to bully owners, loads of experience and understanding how we all feel about our dogs

It sounds pretty raspy to me , like a lot of phlegm. I would only use the lemon juice if they are hot and have a bunch in their throat. This sounds like its in him nose. Find your self a good bully vet and let him have a look, because that does not sound normal. He may have an upper respiratory infection.

Your bully does sound a little phlegm-y but loud breathing and snoring is pretty normal for them. You can always get his nares done to help get more air into his nose when he breathes. We opted to do that for Fat Cleo when we had her fixed at 6 months and it made a world of difference!
