Help Needed! Osteochondritis Dissecans - Otis most likely needs surgery, anyone else experience this

So it looks like Otis will need surgery, his limp has gotten progressivly worse. We have an appointment Wednesday with a specialist. Anyone been through this?

I've researched a lot online. We will see what the specialist says tomorrow, I think so - he can't really put any pressure on his leg now - it's pretty bad at the moment. Thanks for your support.
