Emma's face broke out last night. I'm thinking it's just facial acne? Here chin's just scraped from her chasing her balls on the carpet...

A bit of Desitin will have that cleared up in no time. Lucy gets occasional teenage spots, most usually if she has had some banana. :hug;

Ouch, poor girl, I wouldn't have thought about Desitin either, let us know how it works.

David, I'll let you know. She's an a bump or two before but never this many and they all popped up last night. They don't bother her at all though. I'll let you know how the desitin works.

Update: The desitin is helping quite a bit. The redness is down as is some of her acne. She still has it but it's not as bad as it was a few days ago.

Here's 2 pics I just took. The big one on the side is still pretty big but not as red. Her chin is a bit better too. She has some smaller ones you can't see that are also on her chin. I'll keep up with desitin for a week and on Saturday she goes to her vet for shots and I'll see what he suggests too.

I've seen this on dogs that eat out of plastic bowls or (by no means am i saying this is something you do or did) if the metal bowls aren't cleaned regularly. My boxer used to get bumps on her chin from eating out of plastic bowls. Hope she feels better! Its no fun I'm sure.

Thanks bluesteelapd. We only use metal bowels and I clean them regulary. I'll keep a better eye on their bowls too.

Her face has gotten worse. We were at the vet this past Saturday and he prescribed "Mupircoin Cream USP, 2%." Expensive stuff at $70 for 15grams. I just started using it tonight so we'll see how it works for her. Here's the shots that I took this evening. Poor girl. I thought the desitin was working but apparently not.

They've multiplied in the last week. :(

I haven't put any on this one cause and it's stayed the same. Could just be a thinning of her fur and pink skin. I'm watching it but there's been no change for 2 weeks now.

Oh my goodness!!! Ouchie!!!

The medication that was given to you will kill bacteria.... but what if it's a fungal issue?

Do you have any panalog? If not, I would be putting Malacetic ULTRA on it.

It looks like chin acne but a really bad case and whatever is growing is certainly spreading. Panalog ointment should work well because it will "stick" to it. I have had this a few times before and panalog worked like a charm. I usually see it more in warmer weather when they are drinking and dribbling more throughout the day. Sicking their chin in their water... is she a clean drinker or a chin dunker?

If she's a chin dunker put just a teeeeeeeny bit of ACV in the water with some ice cubes.

Ouch!!! Could she have eaten something she's allergic to? That's what Maggie's face looked like when we put her on the Fromm chicken!!

Oh wow, poor girl. I'm also wondering if it's an allergic reaction to something..
Either way, hoping it clears up soon. She's too pretty for acne!

Lisa I don't have any panolog and yes she is a chin drinker. I cleaned her chin and spots with the Malacetic ULTRA last night. She was not happy with me, poor thing. Should I use that once a day on her for right now?

Karen, I just recently changed her food to Fromm Beef Frittata and she and Wilson are on their second bag now. This is about the time she developed all this. It hasn't been that warm here yet so I'm not thinking it's weather related.

She's clearing up a bit, much better than the other day. I've been putting ointment on her after I clean it with the Malacetic Optic and at first used the Malacetic ULTRA. Here's her face as of this morning. They're a bit blurry.

And here she is hiding from me. I had to drag her out (nicely of course) by her front legs.
