Oh no, I know nothing about this and feel so bad for you and your little Buddha . Have you done any searches on Google, it's worth a try to find out everything you can.

I can understand why you are so upset. Did the vet mention what is causing the irritation? Eyelashes turning inward (distichiasis), entropian?

Did he mention what the surgical plan is?

OUCH.... poor bully boy! I know nothing of this but I think desertskybulldogs may have some info on it.

I will keep Buddha in my prayers for all to go well tomorrow and a quick recovery.

:hugs:

she thought it was because of dry eyes but she did a tear test and it said it was fine so it could of been anything something that got trapped into his eye he might have scratched it and it got infected. and she did some what she was actually going into surgery for another bulldog with the same problem so it was really quick
but i was freaking out by that point my bf had to go back after i did to ask her questions (im a big baby when it comes to buddha getting surgeries) (panic attack)lol so hel be getting the surgery tomorrow hopefully it all goes well and his eye sight will be fine

Wishing you all the best. How did Buddah do?

I can relate. Lucy needed emergency surgery once and I could barely stop crying long enough to ask questions. Thankfully the surgeon was understanding and was touched that i loved my dog so much. Either that or they marked the words "CRAZY" next to my name in her chart!

One thing I can tell you about eyes (from my experiences with Lucy) is that they heal quickly. Hopefully your pup is on the road to recovery as we speak!

hey guys so surgery went well he came home last night and hes been sleeping all day hes on all kinds of meds but the vet lady said it whent well shes been calling all day asking how buddha was doing. all the people at the vet clinic told us when we picked him up that they can tell hes a spoiled baby because they had to give him extra pain medication because he wouldnt stop crying and wanted someone to hug him and scratch him at all time. lol we will be going back on monday to get his stitches removed and see how its healing keeping my fingers crossed !! all i can do now is spoil him untill then. my poor buddha he gets so frustrated because he cant see i cant wait to have him back to normal!!!

hes great just in a little bit frustrated he wont be able to see clearly until two weeks ! i felt the same way my bf told me that they were asking how was i doing and told him how iwould start crying everytime they mentioned that he could lose his eye sight .. maybe thats why the vet keeps calling me now making sure we both are ok lol :ashamed:
