So Lola got spayed on saturday and her swelling of her teats is going down and today she is almost back to normal! However I check her everyday and make sure nothing is split open and today on the left of the incision I noticed a knot the size of about a golf ball has anyone else had this? Im wondering if it is just how she is healing but im not sure. Its not under the incision but off to the side.. Thanks!

sounds like fluid built up, give it a squeeze to see if it drains, is it warm/hot to the touch, infection, may need to call the vet for drainage . perhaps apply warm wet compress to drain some

This isnt close to the surface as in there is no open sore or head like a pimple this is a knot inside.

The knot inside is from the healing according to our vet. Forgot to tell you she has that to as she was spayed the Thursday before lola

I'd take her to the vet tomorrow if it is still there and not going down. Lucy had a reaction to the sutures but it was no the incision itself.

The size of a golf ball??? That seems pretty large to me!!

I've never had this experience ... so if it were me I'd be at the vets!

It is fluid. I thought it was way to hard to be that! They did not drain it but gave us a antibiotic she has to take for 10 days. Other than that vet said she looks good and the incision is healing well. She goes back the 8th to make sure everything has cleared up. Thanks for the help!
