Elly and I just got back from the vet. She took some x-rays and doesn't think there's anything wrong other than a sprain/deep tissue bruise. She is sending them to a specialist for a second opinion, though.

In the meantime, Elly has her leg wrapped. She's not too thrilled, as you can see from the pictures. I feel awful laughing at her, but I can't help it. :D

Aw, poor thing! I am surprised they put that wrap on her leg...I'm guessing from experience, it won't last long! I'm glad it sounds like it's nothing serious!

The vet said she wanted to put her leg in a wrap until she hears back from the specialist.

Elly was great, though. Everyone there loves her. The X-ray tech came out with a big smile, asking me if I taught her "high five." I told her I did and asked why, and she just laughed and said "Because she wouldn't stop high-fiving me when I was trying to take the X-rays!" :D

Oh, and Elly actually started falling asleep while the vet was examining her leg! And then she started falling asleep as it was being wrapped. The vet couldn't stop laughing. Silly puppy!

Puppies are awesome. They handle weird situations with such ease, and then freak out over silly things like the vaccuum commercial on the TV.

They are also very resilient. She may not like the wrap on her leg, but hopefully it will let the tissues inside start to heal while it is immobilized. Just hope she doesn't chew it off...

And I also hope that your silly puppy Elly has learned not to jump out of Mama's arms!

Despite Elly's pouting, she seems to be doing a lot better. She's starting to put weight down on her leg and still isn't showing any pain or discomfort. :)

Aww she looks so cute, yet sad at the same time lol. Her little leg is all taped up, poor baby. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing serious.

Glad to see it looks like she will just heal and be back to normal with a little time for the bruising to go away. Hope the second opinion doc sees the same thing!

Poor 'lil pouty baby, just too cute in her purple splint.

I'm so relieved it seems a deep tissue bruise, I KNOW you are!

Accidents happen, Mom...not your fault. Give her a soft hug from me!

So no more splint? She looked absolutely adorable lol. I would have gotten a purple dress to put on her and took a ton of pics. I love the couch pic because she looks like WHY ME?????
