Hi,

My bully Bernice had them removed! They still look blood shot and one of them still is almost brownish! I took her into the vet and he said they are still fine and not to worry! I was expecting them to be white! Has anyone else had this problem, or should I be getting a second opinion from another vet? Any advice or knowing that this can happen would be helpful!

Thanks!

tomolson24 Hi my bully had both his eyes tacked this past December and they are still bloodshot red and very glossy. His were done by an eye specialist at the University. He gets them checked monthly by his regular vet, the tack is holding and no sign of entropian or infection So pretty much she said that's how they will stay. They may clear up some as he gets bigger He was on medicated drops up until about a month ago. Med drops were not doing much to take the redness away, so we stopped using them. I have since started using regular eye drops, which helps but only for a short period of time. I put 2 drops in each eye and they clear up for about an hour. And I only use them when were going out, as people are always asking why his eyes are so red. Hope this helps.

I am a new bully owner
at 5 months my pup cherry eye popped out
took to my VET (knows nothing) said needs surgery
first I did research
then found how to get cherry eye back in on YOUTUBE
asked for lub ointment would not give to me told them where to go and changed VET

Learned a big lesson
NEVER NEVER BELEIVE A VET they are absolutely self serving and never give a s.......t about your dog but we need them for shots and medicine.
saw different vet every time I went there and all they did was push their dog food....Hello ...my dog has cherry eye I don't want your crappy dog food

in Canada we have medicare for people and our doctors are great because they charge what they can charge
VETs on the other hand are vultures. (sorry maybe I found a good one now because she gave me an ointment for my puppy's eye

Sorry back on topic
I lube the eye 4 times a day and cherry not popped out since
I massage it a bit with surgical glove after the ointment......
reduced the stress and hoping the eyelid will get stronger as he grows and if it persist I will consider it at one year old when I have him spayed

sharing my experience with you
best of luck
regards
Lou
