Help Needed! How to tell if your bulldog has a fever?

Can anyone offer me help on how to tell if my english bulldog has a fever? She is shaking off and on (like when she is scared) and somewhat lethargic... Does't want her treats, looks sad and isn't giving kisses like usual. Her bowel movements are normal and she drank some water. She is teething and 5 months old. I want to make sure she doesn't have a fever.

Using a digital thermometer, take her temp rectally. It should be between 99-101

Sounds like she is sick.... I hope she is okay

Took her to the vet.. Her temp is normal and the shaking has stopped....thank you for the instructions for taking her temp....I will be getting a thermometer at the store to have on hand....
