@Chunksmama doesnt have to be the protein but more something in the food doesnt agree with him. i would start out with like make several tablespoons or 1/4 can or something and see how he does then you can increase if needed. well lots here are doing well with earthborn coastal catch or do you need something at petsmart or petco? castor & pollux has a grain and poultry free one. let me know i can find you more if needed.

@cowsmom - actually Pet Valu (not sure if they are a chain) & another small store by me carry the Earthborn Holistic - was considering that because they sometimes have sales/coupons for it! Lord knows every penny helps! I just have to check to see if they carry the coastal catch. Thank you!!

@cowsmom, I will definitely try those things. I had been giving him pumpkin for a long while before this ... Made it a staple in his diet. I like the idea of canned food with the kibble, how much should I add to each meal do you think? And I was definitely considering a different grain-free. We were on Blue Wilderness and I thought maybe being "high protein" didn't help? Just not sure which brand to try next. He's done best on a fish protein ... right now I switched him to limited ingredient blue buffalo, just thinking that it may be better than the regular stuff. Any suggestions on which to try? I was going to look through our dog food ratings and see which has a lower protein ...

@BruceP ... I posted pics, in another thread! I see you have found them ... maybe next time I need to post a huge sign that says "BRUCEP LOOK HERE!!!"

@desertskybulldogs ... I KNEW I had the name wrong. Have you ever dealt with that?! It just seems so crazy. We've pretty much ruled it out at this point, thank goodness!
Oh my I dont know if the name was wrong that is my iPod auto correct at work!!! Maybe iPod knows!! Lmao

Poor Chunk! And that is a lot for you to be dealing with too right now! I hope that he starts being more "regular". Sometimes I add in canned food with a little water or broth to make gravy when Frank seems stopped up. I get Fromm chopped beef with veg and add a couple of spoonfuls. It is pretty liquidy and Frank loves it.

I am so glad Chunk is a "regular" guy again. I give Ruggles bites of raw apple, broccoli, banana, etc. That keeps him going!

    Congratulations on the house!

I concur on the water bit, even us humans when we dont drink enough water can 'Backup' also the amount of exercise. Water and Exercise might just be the simple cure. Now the weather is cooling off.. we go on our nightly walks

I'm so glad that he is feeling better. Maybe you could give him some figs, prunes or apricots every day to keep things in there moving along? Abby loves the dehydrated fruits when she gets "stuffy"

For me, her name was Abby

Glad to hear he's doing better, we give Bacon frozen blueberries as a treat and he loves them, but we can't to too many or his gets all squishy, which may help your situation.

Thanks for all your advice!!! We went to the vet Tuesday to check his eyes and skin and it's looking much better and he's still going regular too! However, he's about 5 lbs overweight so I'll be cutting back his food and adding in some green beans. Maybe I'll add some fruit too, just to make sure he keeps going. Lol

He's had such a tough day ... He played, slept, chased a cat up a tree in the backyard ... Not sure if he's comfortable now though

I think he might be a little cramped and not have enough toys either ...

He seems to think that half of the living room is all for him. Geez.
