Ellie had her final set of puppy shots today and is 4 months. We asked the vet about spaying and he said that any time from here on out would be fine. His recommendation was 5-6 months with the sooner the better if we had no intention of breeding her. I've always heard 6 months is the "typical" age to have it done at. Any opinions?

With bulldogs I have heard waiting until around 18 mnths or so to give them time to develop as the grow slower than other breeds...We had to get Brutus neutured early b/c of an emergency. Anytime after 6 mnths is okay I wouldnt do it before though

Yeah....I've always hear 6 months and that's been the typical time frame for my family in the past.

Female bully's generally go into heat around 8 month old. So you might want to spay between 6 and 7 month old

If you want to do it before she goes into heat, I would say after 6 months.
