I have autoimmune diseases, one of which is Lupus and also have Fibro.
Years went by before being dx'ed so I began researching nutrition and
natural herbs & supplements to help myself-I continue doing this as Big
Pharma & Specialists have little to nothing to offer...more interested in
making a buck than HELPING or CURING you.

Bought the 1st kibble for Mr Brutie, supposed to be 'breed specific' w/a
English Bulldog on front of the bag, as Petsmart was closing and I'd run
out of time to read ingredients listings & wanted him off Iams that former
owner had him on. To my horror, 2-3 weeks later, I'm reading on the bag,
Soy was in the top 5 ingredients...threw it all away!

Unless you eat organic, FERMENTED soy, I'd advise ANYONE not to consume!

It's also heavily used in chicken feed, one reason I believe so many Bullies
react to chicken but I believe they are really reacting to the soy in the feed
in the chicken, same as I believe most, not all, Bullies could eat raw, fresh
salmon and do fine-most fish is preserved w/a very bad preservative (can't
recall right now) that I believe out beloved Bullies react to and not the fish.

Anyone feeding infant SOY formula to their children, please, please look into
the dangers of soy, it's scary and criminal that so much false information is
put out there...unless it's organic, non processed and fermented, SOY IS BAD!

Yes I have wondered why do so awful on processed chicken in kibble, ( I have fed fresh cooked chicken with no bad effects) so you may have a great theory here!

cali~jenn...as the occasional snack, probably not altho I would not eat if I were a
pregnant woman, or babies, children or teenagers (soy is a phytoestrogen, very high levels)
or bulldogs. A better snack would be sugar snap beans and very close in texture.

I can second Texas Carol 's feeling about soy. Personally, I limit my soy intake to only non-processed organic soy products: edamame, tofu, miso, and tamari (which are all good and good for most people...but in moderation...like everything else). Soy outside of these examples are so far away from what nature intended that they are more chemical than anything else... I'm a vegan so I rely on some organic whole soy for protein, I've given both my dogs edamame and tofu on occasion to no ill effects. I've switched both dogs to home cooked meals because I never eat anything out of a bag that can sit on a shelf for months at a time...fresh, whole food is where real nutrition is and it was time I got the dogs on the same plan...but with that said, each case is individual and you do what you can with the information that you have...

I had no idea. Eating soy beans i thought was a healthy snack. Ugh... Figures and my girls love them. Well no more. At least they will eat whatever the pups eat g aside from kibble) so frozen green beans r a hit here too.

Wow. I had no idea. I don't eat soy but up here in Western WA, Soy and "all things healthy" is a maniacal lifestyle with some. Most of them are wearing Birkenstocks and hanging out at REI. Glad I'm not missing anything. LOL

I have a friend who had a big problem with Soy. Apparently is is often treated as a hormone in females. People I'm talking here. When she was daignosed with breast cancer..her oncologists told her..NO SOY!
