Help Needed! You won't believe this!!!

So, Mia went for allergy testing this past Saturday. Now for 6 weeks of waiting. But that's not the big news.... We stopped the benadryl 6 days prior to testing and guess what... she has not had a single bump or itch since!!!! We are on day 8 cold turkey. Now I am sure that test will come back with some allergies (she's already off of chicken and grains) but has anyone heard of or has a dog allergic to benadryl??

Havent heard of but will be interesting to see. Glad her allergies are doing better anyhow.

i used to think sarah was allergic to benadryl at one time. she does seem to react to chlor pheneramine and hydroxyzine and i cant give her much zyrtec so its no unheard of to me.

my next door neighbor is allergic to Benadryl...the PINK ones... something about the Pink part, now she can take the other benadryls (non pink) *shrug* I guess you can be allergic to anything

Hmm could be. What kind if allergy testing did you do? I had to have bubba off if benedryl for at least one month before they would do it. They did the blood test kind. Took 10 days to get back. I hope you get some answers! It helps soo much!!

Wouldnt that be ironic? I am glad she is feeling better that is a great thing!

Ahhh I see, I listen to the beach version, not the desert version. Beach versions don't always make since.hehehe good catch though, I should get a pass, I'm working mids so my brain is not functioning very well.

Dublin is on it three times a day. We use the capsule kind. Tried so many other allergy meds and she had bad reactions so we are sticking with Benydryl. Will be watching to see what you find out from the testing. She looks pretty relaxed in that photo
