@cali~jenn - You're not too far behind! I hope Cutty is recovering well!
Great progress... that seemed to be really fast.

I now have a proper answer to this question. Oliver will be X-rayed this Friday (in 2 days) for his 6 week check up. We were told no food or water after midnight. I don't believe it's anesthesia, but sedation. We were told he will be sedated, X-rayed, and then administered a "reversal drug" that takes away the sedation. They said it's only an hour process. I hate the thought of him even being sedated but I do feel an X-ray is important to be sure the implant is in good shape.

Send good vibes that Oliver's 6 week check up goes well. We need them!

As for therapy, we found an area nearby that has two perfect hills - one that is steep and one that isn't. Oliver has been walking up the non-steep hill every night, building muscle in his leg. Go, Oliver!
I want to thank everyone for reading this thread and being supportive throughout Oliver's surgery and recovery. Never having gone through this, it was scary. We hope we never have to go through it again!

We just got home from Oliver's 6 week check up. He did NOT have to be sedated and X-rays weren't necessary! They were able to feel his knee and he has now been given the OK to be off leash! Yayay! He can resume normal activities in a few weeks! We are thrilled. Thank you for all of your support over the past 6 weeks. It is so very appreciated!

@cali~jenn - our fingers & toes will be crossed that Cutty's 6 week goes as smoothly as Oliver's! Hang in there!

I'm just seeing this now! I'm sorry!!! I was even out walking/jogging (wogging? jalking?) around 7:30am and you were on my mind. I hope you guys are doing well. Oliver is a big pile of grumpiness these past few days. I think it's the heat. He also just stepped in his own poop so he wasn't thrilled about a bath. Ha! Miss yoU!!!!!

It's ok! We ended up having a wicked night and I was sooo tired. Turns out Clayton was teething! Duh! He has two bottom teeth now! I will text you soon so we can walk! We are up and out by 7:10am every day now ... back home before work on Wednesday and Thursday though so those days are still good!
