Roxy has the will of a bulldog but she is actually a shepard/husky mix. She's been with us for almost 13 years.

But have no doubt about Oliver in recovery. He has YOU! He will be just fine

@AdventuresWithOliver So glad you got great info!!! And don't mind that @BruceP ... he likes to pick on me! After Chunk's eye surgery, we only crated him when he couldn't be watched because he wasn't allowed to run or jump either (and of course, being a different surgery, he was getting around just fine) and he would try to occasionally scratch the stitches on any surface near by. But at night, he slept in his bed since that was his usual. I think Ollie man sleeping with you guys will be just fine - that's where he is comfy! What day is his surgery??? I have a little something for him to chew on to help keep him busy without running around!

@Chunksmama - It's on May 21st. We actually just ran out to pick up a bigger crate for him. So, we'll crate him when we're not around. We have a baby-gate to gate off our bedroom (where his dog bed is) for when we are at home. I am feeling a lot less nervous now that I have a game plan in place! And Turi, I feel so bad - I wouldn't have been bugging you for this forum info had I known what was going on with you guys last week! Sorry for being such a dork.

@AdventuresWithOliver LOL it's ok! We were going on with life as usual ... just easier that way. So noooo worries. I'll text you during the week so we can stop by and see you guys! It's been WAYYYYYY too long! Oh and bummer - that house by you is a wreck and way overpriced. Dang!

Sounds good! I meant to ask you about that house. I know which one it is. Stinks that it didn't work out. Talk to you this week!

We actually don't know if it was an injury or caused by Patella Luxation. He was asleep and woke up unable to bear weight on his hind right leg. He had been diagnosed with Patella Luxation in his other hind leg a year ago but as he grew, the grooves of that knee actually spread a little and it has been fine since.
