So poor Lily seems to have some type of irritation on & around her...how should I put this..I guess her girlie part. (oh my)
It's been there since Sunday night. I have been cleaning it very gently with warm water and baby shampoo.
And I have been putting topical ointment on it as well.

Could I maybe use Desitin? I know you can use it for sore wrinkles which really works well.
But I'm not sure if I could use it for something like this.
I called the vet and he said to just keep doing what I'm doing but it doesn't seem to be getting any better, it's so red and I think it hurts her because she has been crying lately and she has never done that before.
Has anyone ever had this issues before?

Any advice?

Thanks!

You could use the Desitin but you should probably take her to the doctors if she's crying and uncomfortable over it. She might have an infection.

I would say take a trip to te vet if it's causing discomfort! She may need some antibiotic to clear any infections! Hope it gets better!

Desitine on girlie parts, yes thin layer, she can't lick it off so don't worry. leave it on for a day before washing it again. don't wash too hard. the soap may be an irritant also.
