Hang in there...Lex looks so very pitiful in the car picture...I know 90% of that look is being a Bully...but he sure knows how to make us sad...

He did perk up a bit when I told him its time to see his pretty girls. He loves everyone there :)... I just called and he is awake and doing good. She sounded up best but she usually is, such a sweet heart. So that kinda helps with the fear that hopefully it's not to bad. Of course she wouldn't say anything and I wasn't gonna ask since that's why I have an app at 5:15 to talk w mark. But the main thing is he is doing good. :)

I hope all is well with Lex. Vegas was having similar pain..walking, running, getting up! Turns out, losing all that weight also fixed his problem. Love you Lex!!!!

Sorry guy just got home 6pm and got him all settled in.

Well bad news all the way around.
1. He does have hip dysplasia which wasnt a big surprise

2. The shocker is he has 2 torn acls.

I don't know what to think or do at this point. It's gonna cost up to 2,000 to replace each knee and It's to late for pet insurance. Jeff says we will just manage his pain and not do sugery on the knees, he says he wouldn't want to put him through that but I want him around a lot longer
The dr has a specialist coming in on the 11th and they are gonna have him look at his X-rays to see what he thinks especially on his knees. Here's a pic of his hips ImageUploadedByTapatalk1335395280.281778.jpg

He is napping right now the last 20 mins I've been curled up next to him. Gonna take a nice hot bath and try to relax some. Yes he sent us home w vetaprofin and well see how that works if it doesn't then they'll give us something else.

They all love lex and u could tell It hurt everyone there some couldn't even look at me for the pain in everyone's eyes.

Oh..this just breaks my heart. Poor baby Lex. Ask the Dr about tramadol also. Its a good, safe pain med for dogs. Give him tons of kisses from my family!

So soory about all this. we recently had a friend my b/f watches their two Corsos (Italian Mastiffs) ... the female, Nova, had a torn ACL and they opted to not so surgery.... it has been a long 6 months, but she is full throttle and plays, runs, etc. The do pain management with her ... good days / bad days. so you may have options based on how far along the tear is

Sorry about Lex, I know how you feel too, when I found out my little girl has HD I was so upset and depressed. :( But she's doing ok with weight and pain management, she's just as ornery as ever! :)

Libra926 he said that would be the next option if this doesn't help. Which it has in the past.

That's good he did say something a out doing therapy but not sure what it would entail.
