If you have a teaching veterinary school in your area..please call them. They are a great resource and usually at very affordable rates. They are up on the latest trials and techniques. I wouldn't waste another minute...good Luck...

Do you have a veterinary school nearby? I would HIGHLY suggest that if your vet is clueless and guessing like ours was with Aubrey's vomiting and weight loss, take him to a vet school or somewhere else that may be better suited to deal with it. The good thing about us taking Aubrey to the Auburn University Vet School here in Alabama is that there are specialists in every area (dermatology, oncology, etc) that are available to work on her case if needed. If you are outside a certain radius, you have to be referred and it may be the same with other schools. Just from a quick search there is a vet school in Missouri, but I am not sure how far away it is from you.

Ask your vet if there is a vet school that they refer to for cases that stump them. You may have a travel a little ways (ours is two hours away), but if anywhere can figure out the problem, it will most likely be a vet school where they have technology and specialists. Aubrey's care is more expensive, but she has 3 doctors over her case who also consult with other doctors when needed. They don't have to send off for any results; they do everything right there.

So sorry that your Bullie is in such a bad way :( You sound like you're at your wits end, but everybody gave you some super advice, so hopefully Tanker will soon be on the road to recovery. :) Welcome to EBN! =)

personaly i would take him to a holistic vet,i say this as antibiotics/steroids only mask any illness, yes the symptoms may go for a while but will always come back, also given the amount of symptoms i would start raw feeding and by raw i mean no canned, premade, dehydrated, though his symptoms are severe it may be something as simple as a very low immune system which in turn will show up in all places on a dogs body, this is just what i would do ,im not promoting raw or holistic meds ,its just me ,karen

I added some of your photos from your album to the first post. I saw this last night before bed and I could not get the images out of my mind. Your poor baby has got to be miserable, I cannot even imagine what that feels like.

Today it is my mission to contact everyone I know to see if they can help. My first recommendation is to seek out a new vet asap!!!!

I truly wish I could help, but I have no words of wisdom here. I too would ask for some other vet to take this case, and I'm with karenben in starting raw feeding.

I am in total agreement with cowsmom this looks like an xtremely bad fungal infection He needs some meds to treat that initially as I dont think being totally holistic will work as well on its own. I would seek out another vet initially.....call all those close to you and see if they have experience with Bullys. I understand you are very concerned about the stem cell issue too but like you said your vet is clueless.Did they at least do a skin scape...I'm sorry if you already said that I may have missed it. I hope you get some help for him soon

Do you have a specialty Vet's office in town or near by? We have an office with an Gastroenterologist, oncologist, orthopedic surgeon and Dermatologist, maybe you can get some answers seeing them. At first glance I thought an auto immune situation. I hope you find answers.

OMG that is horrible. I'm so so sorry your babe is going through this. I have no advice but other than to seek another opinion. If you cannot find an experienced vet in your immediate area, I would suggest email these pictures to a special animal vet place. It could be worth a drive to a more experienced vet. Wish I had more suggestions for you but you have some good advice above. to you both.

Hi there.. sorry so late getting to this.. Our Duke had major skin issues, red swollen paws and he had hot spots that would bleed etc but not the other issues you describe, I too was at wits end and ended up finding a teachin school in our area that has a vet dermatogist.. Duke had severe allergies ..I too think it is time for another opinion. I feel terrible for you guys and would think if it is yeast maybe a new vet could give hime some treatment to make him more comfortable. I am hoping and praying you get the answers you need soon. Please keep us updated..

TANKERSMOM I went to my bulldog vets facebook page which is tuttle animal medical clinic, in sarasota fl, and 'liked' the page. I posted your post and posted pics of Tank. I made a plea for him to help. He knows everything about bulldogs! I also just called the office and pleaded for him to look at the post and offer any advice he could. I told them I would understand if he was too busy to do that. She said he would tell him about it. Not sure if he will come through but..I'm trying for you! I feel soo bad for your baby!
