@LucysMum She gave me Artificial Tears ointment. I think after reading everything that you and everyone has written I am going to just go to the opthamologist for a second opinion. Because the vet mentioned both dry eye and entropion. I would love if it was just dry eye.

I would have a specialist take a look at her--then you know what you are up against. If it is dry eye and the rewetting drops aren't cutting it --there are other meds designed to help with the dry eye. Lucy takes cyclosporin and tacrolomis drops. They will help her body produce a more productive tear.

If it makes you feel any better my regular vets are always commenting on Lucy's eyelids. Everytime I am there they say, "You know--she has entropian". I visit the eye specialist on a regular basis and he assures me that her dry eye is more serious that the slight entropian that she has. My specialist will not operate on her unless she begins to develop eye changes. He also said there are dogs he sees that have distichiasis and you can see the lashes in the eye--but if it isn't causing the eye harm and the dog can see--he would not suggest surgery.

Keep us posted!
