Mornin, @staurtgerrard85 hoping your boy is ok...does sound like an umbillical hernia. Is your current vet familiar with bulldogs? If not search bulldog rescue .uk
you will find they have a list of reccomended bulldog vets, there may be one close to you. Keep us posted on how he is and where are you, I'm manchester way :) and we have a member from blackpool and one southport and then another from up here but can't quite remember where exactly but def up North xx

When you go back make sure you ask him to be more specific...it's ok him shrugging his shoulders like it's nothing after he told you your boy has a lump in his tummy, but you have been worried and muling this over since.
Did you look at the bulldog rescue site to see if there is a bully vet close to you? I hope he's ok and thanks for the update. Xx

Just an update. I took him bak vets today and turns out the stomach thing is like a nipple in the middle of the 2 rows! My mrs didnt have it explained to her properly. Dont think this is something worry about. Is this normal anyway?

To be honest if your vet isnt worried (did u visit the bully vet?) then I wouldnt worry if I were you. Keep an eye on it, if it changes or starts to bother him then go back. thanks for keeping us updated :)
