Hello bully owners, new to site and have already read
So much helpful information. My MIA breathes really heavy after eating.
Is that normal?

How fast does she eat and how much do you give her at a time? How old is she? What does she eat?

:welcome4: Peachtree50 You might want to feed her her meal spaced out over the day-not so much at once and see if that makes a difference for her,as far as her breathing.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm excited about a go to place
For concerns. The three vets I'Ve had are not bulldog knowledgable.
They just want to put her on pills for anything and everything.
And thanks to this site, I've already found a great dog food that doesn't
Make her itch. Worked in two days!!

But still the breathing thing.

I feed her once a day, about 2 cups

How old is she? I would give her one cup twice a day, it is much better for them not to have a big meal all at once. Less likely to have bloat too which is extremely dangerous. What food are you giving her?

Agree.. spread the food out that is too much at one time. 1 cup twice a day is much safer

Depending on the age you may want to feed up to 3 cups a day. I have found my fatty is abnormal and at almost two he gets between 2.5 to 3 cups a day to maintain weight.
