I'm worried about Cookie since it looks like her owner hasn't been on in two days. I wonder if he took her to the specialist? He may not have liked the advice he received here, so he checked out? I hope Cookie is okay.

i hope what i said about my experience raising them did not scare them.. sorry if it did, just thought i would try to prepare them a little.. gosh, i kinda feel bad now.. hope cookie does ok.. did she say how old cookie was??

Absolutely not...do not feel bad, thank you for your shared information,
advice & experience, helpful to everyone here. I was so happy to see
your posts on this subject, information many do not know & need too.
Bulldogs, many times, reject their puppies because they are out when
they're delivered & don't experience bonding that natural birth provides.
They usually have to be separated while pups are young as they don't
know not to sit or lay on them, pups need to be put with them at feeding
times only & monitored during that time. Who would know these things?

@TexasCarol, I agree! From my own experience with my first child, having a c-section while completely out, and then waking up in pain, made the whole motherhood experience less than pleasant, initially. Of course I knew what was going on prior to being put under though.

thanks carol.. i am such a softy when i hear about bulldogs being breed and owners do not have a clue of what lies ahead.. it is one of the reasons when i sold my puppies i made every person sign a contract stating that if i feel they are not treating the dog like it should be and mistreating it, including keeping dog cool in summer and not on a chain.. then i have the right to take the dog back without a refund.. and i still keep in touch with all my dogs puppy parents.. i did have to refuse 4 people who wanted one but i knew in my heart that they would not make a good home for my puppy. I did not care about the money, just wanted good homes.. but no matter how much we do there is no guarantee how the dog will be treated.. only one of my pups i had regrets on but ended up in a better home so i could rest.. lol.. seriously, no matter whose dog or what kind of dog, i cant stand the thought of any dog not having a good life and suffering.. i see so many getting one and not realizing what the cost of care might be.. two weeks before i lost my beloved odie we had already spent 6000.00 dollars on his care and i would have spent as much as it would have cost.. because it was my responsibility.. yeah i heard from a lot of co-workers about there is a line somewhere but i disagree, we don't stop giving kids care when they need it so why our pets.. OK, i'm done ranking now.. i can go on and on.. i get so fired up if anyone mistreats a dog or don't get it the care.. .. OK,, really i'm done, maybe.. lol.

Ugh, my birth experience too, Honey! Making it worse, the hospital
had rules to not allow new Moms to hold or feed their babies unless
off all pain meds. I had many issues during labor, had C-section and
was out 15 hours from loss of blood, so was on pain meds 3 days.
During that time, they started bottle feeding Aaron (w/out telling me)
and Aaron would not breast feed afterwards & I was to weak to fight
thru it so gave in, hated that!

You're very welcome and thank you to update us and getting
Cookie into a better Vet. Her puppies will be adorable and even
tho mixed, will be sellable, that will help with your expenses.

[MENTION=5315]Texas Carol[/MENTION], that's exactly what happened to my daughter. She was given a bottle before I even woke up. She never would take the breast after that. Luckily with my second child, everything was different!
