Re: New to fourm and need gelp

Hi Teresa, first I want to say congrats on Bentley and take a deep breath. Like @2BullyMama said I have two. Sebastian and Remy both have grade 4 murmurs that when we did the ultrasound found out it was pulmonic stenosis. Sebastian was not eligible to have any surgery to repair the problem but Remy had an angiogram done to see if they could put a balloon in to expand his arteries but once they did the angiogram the cardiologist was afraid that his artery would blow and he would die on the table. Remy takes 25 mg of Atenelol twice a day but Sebastian is not on any meds. They were both diagnosed as puppies and Sebastian will be 3 in December and Remy will be 2 next month. Both are very healthy otherwise and show no symptoms of any heart disease except Sebastian cannot get over exerted as he will pass out. Take heart that Bentley has a chance to live a full life. Just love him and treat him no different. He doesn't know he has a heart condition because my two certainly don't know they have a heart condition. I'm here if you any questions.

Hi, I've been to Knoebels lots , its the best amusement park around, better than Hershey . try to relax, exhale and relax. You can't be proactive if you're not in control, don't panic and go with the flow. It's going to be ok. really. Love your puppy and take him in your arms and keep him relaxed. It'll be ok. nice slow and calm . get some rest, tomorrow will look different , have the tests and let us know the results. keep us posted.

Re: New to fourm and need help

I am so sorry to hear this, I am glad they refunded your money but honestly there is no way a pup so young with a grade 3 heart murmur should have gone undiagnosed. Many pups do have "innocent" heart murmurs that they do grow out of but only time will tell, but only an ecocardiogram done when they are a little older will be able to give you the answers you seek. In the case of our heart murmur puppy Vegas/Remy, he was the largest and most robust of the litter, the vet told us that was very unusual because the pups with murmurs usually don't look as healthy as their siblings and are very small, and he got two diagnosis of a low grade 3. We were hoping this was a good sign..... and he does now live a great life with kim n the guys, but unfortunately it was not something he grew out of.
