Welcome to the site.
Hello all. My name is Patrick. We will be getting our first Bullie in a couple of weeks when she is 8 weeks old. We have 2 Jack Russells now and looking forward to adding to the family. I have a wife and 2 daughters, 5 and 10. We live in Albuquerque NM and live in a typical housing neighborhood. Would love to get some tips and suggestions on keeping our new girl happy and healthy. I know there are a few differences between a Bulldog and a Jack Russell. So please post anything that may apply. I will review the board for help as well. At this point I would love some suggestions on what to get for the puppy's arrival. Food, sleeping arrangements ect.. Suggestions on crating or not. Also would love to know what size doggie door you have. Thanks!!!
Welcome to the site.
Bulldogs are like potato chips. You just can't stop with one.
Patrick, do you have any pictures of Lulu to share with us? We don't use a doggie door so can't recommend one. There is an article on the home page that is a great starter list of what you might want to have when your girl arrives.
Ok the best thing is crate train him and no doggie doors, bullies will go out to sun and get hot then may not come back in and will die of heat stroke. Doggie doors are very dangerous for bullies. There are cotton pads that have a moisture proof backing that are better than puppy pads. The pups don't tear them up like regular puppy pads and they are washable. Do a search on ( breeders pads) on the net. If you can find them let me know and I will PM you the link. But some Nylabones and Kong toys, no rawhides or bully sticks, or pigs ears as they are a chocking hazard. We feed our pups FROMM PuppyGold in the pink bag until about 6 or 7 months old.
Have a Great Bully Day.

Welcome to EBN, bet you can hardly wait to get your bully home!
NM is hot therefore care is needed for your bully NOT to overheat.
It's the #1 killer of bullies and happens very quickly. In addition to
having flat noses w/small nares (nostrils) many have very narrow
windpipes. They can overheat in low 70's * with humidity involved
or play to long to enthusiastically, overheat & die.
Fortunately, you have joined a great & knowledgeable/experienced
group. Lots of articles to read and ask questions, we'll help you!
Post those bully pics when your baby arrives...Congratulations!!
My 1st bully, Brutus
RIP beloved boy.
