Hi...new here and first time bulldog owner!

Hello Everyone,
First time owner of a bulldog and I am sure I will have plenty of questions. I have run a boxer rescue for 12 years, but have always wanted a bulldog.
They are so different then boxers!!! I have one question to start with before I bombard with my other ones...I am used to the boxer"wiggle" to show me when my dogs are happy and excited. Ernie(14 weeks) has nothing. His tail is that tiny corkscrew so it does not move...but there is no wiggle...nothing. I cannot tell when he is excited, happy, ....his body is pretty expressionless. Do they grow into a wiggle of some sort? So glad I found this board!

Oh yeah ... it will appear. Never heard of a bully without the bulldog butt wiggle!!

So happy to meet you! I can just speak for my Jake..his tail barely moves..but his entire Booty moves to more than make up for it! I think you'll find...Bully's are different from any other breed..

You will have a wiggly butt, almost guaranteed, it may take some time. One of mine it took almost a year, but she's got one on her, I'll tell ya, especially when I come home, they all pull out a huge wiggle then.

We didn't see a wiggle with Mabel after we adopted her, but see it pretty regularly now. It will come!

Welcome! You will definitely start to see it, that badonkadonk will be able to knock things over soon. I just rescued Kiah a couple weeks ago, she is just over 2, she didn't jiggle until after the first week. You're gonna love it :D

Ooooh you'll see it! Tonka can barely wiggle his little corkscrew tail but he had been known to completely fall over wiggling his entire butt because he is just SO excited to be at daycare! Lol

I'm sure you'll figure out how to tell when he is happy. They are similar, yet each can be so unique. But he will make it known eventually.

We didn't think HRH had a wiggle either, until one day I noticed her tail. Goes a mile a minute when she's happy or excited.
