@Lucy-licious, @Vikinggirl, @Piamitch, @Sherry, @TracyT, @Davidh - Thank you everyone! We really do feel like the blessed ones finding him, although I think he would say he also feels like he has found his happy, forever home.

@Sherry I was especially intrigued by what you said as I would bet my life on them having known and recognized each other. It brought me to tears to see how overjoyed they were at the sight of each other.

We'd planned on looking for a second bulldog in the Spring, but life doesn't always go as you plan, right? I mean, we probably should have named him Tank, in honor of the hot water tank we'd planned on replacing this month

He is a special and gentle soul. Sadly, his first dad was killed in a car accident. And the last couple months he has spent a minimum of 9 hours alone each day. He is so happy to not be alone. He has not spent one minute alone since we brought him home. He has been out to the park and the forest and the river and off-leash. He might just be learning english, but he understands he is loved.

It will be a challenge to keep him calm in the next week as he goes in tomorrow morning to be neutered. At least he doesn't understand what neutered means..

I just love the picture of the two of them sleeping on the bed. How neat that you found Penelope's littermate. How come he was being adopted out at 10 months old? Was he still at the breeder's or did someone else have him. Doesn't really matter though, he has you now!!!

Thanks @mendomamma, @Dubbiedog, @sweetpeasmom2008 The photo really spoke to me, and hubby really insisted they must be related. We are in the greater Vancouver area so not a small town, but almost all the bulldogs seem to be on Kijiji as there is not a local Bulldog Rescue.

    Maybe God is a Bulldog???

Hi @JeannieCO! A sad story with a happy ending for Bulldozer. His first daddy was killed in a car accident. His mama kept him for a while, and I'm sure she needed him and he was some comfort for her. But for the last couple months he has been all alone for a minimum of 9 hours a day and she had no car, and was also in the process of looking for a new rental home. All considered, she made the very brave decision to find him a good home. She loved him very much and is apparent in his character. He is a real gentle soul and full of love. He doesn't understand english yet but he understands love. I know he is happy with us, and especially with his sister and he is so very excited for every outing. We've taken him to the park and the forest and the river and he loves everywhere. We all just love him so much. I hope he still loves us as much tomorrow after he goes to get neutered
