aww bless your heart!!! That is the sweetest thing ever! I am too the same way when it comes to looking at the rescue page. I do sneak a peek though. I am so glad Sally found you guys
Thank you all. She has totally completed our home. I can't even imagine our home without her now....she's completed me too. I really do wish I would have rescued long ago. We will do another when we have the room.
Although I never PAID for my fur kids, I've decided that I never will. I am continually heartbroken atthe sheer number of dogs in shelters and rescues. When I'm able, I want to adopt an EB or maybe even foster a few seniors. This story warms my lil heart and I know why I love this site so much.
I originally thought I'd get an older puppy for my 1st EB
so I could train it my way and knowing they have short
lives. Then I got a call from my sister about her friend
needing to find a home for EB she'd gotten off Craigslist
and was too busy now, grrrr. I was told he was an older
puppy then found out the week I was picking him up, he
was 4 y/o, I decided it didn't matter, he NEEDED a home
Drove 5 hrs to get him, he got in my truck w/out a look
back, we had 7 glorious months together that changed
my life and my outlook...I will always look for that one
NEEDING a home. Cami is my 2nd EB, a 5 y/o retired
breeder, here 4 months and still bonding but so happy
together. Again, I am blessed!
Jeannie, what great hearts you & Hubby have, even
knowing this story from the get go, it still brings tears
as I read it and look at the pics. Seeing you & Sally, I
can see the connection between you...just meant to be!
Love your poem, just beautiful, like you & Sally are.
