New puppy, aggressive with my 2yr old Bulldog! Help Me Pls!

I have a 2 year old bully named Gino, we just picked up our new puppy (also a male) Vinnie, last weekend. The puppy is very over protective of me, and snaps super bad at Gino. Now Gino is very passive and does not want to even be bothered with the new puppy. I am trying to train the puppy to not snap at him and give them both equal attention. Not sure why the puppy is so mean to him. Any suggestions would be so appreciated.

Welcome --- puppy could sense that Gino is passive/submissive so he is trying to gain alpha. Use the training technique... Nothing in life is free' always make him work for everything, food attention, treats, etc. No furniture, till he knows YOU are alpha.

I have a 13 wk old pup and we alreay have him waiting till released form a sit/stay for his meals and he sits for any and all treats
