Bentley has been "playing" way too rough with our 5 yr old lab. Coco has always been a very submissive dog...and I am sure Bentley is a dominant dog. He is "playing" so rough that he is drawing blood on Coco. When is enough enough and what do we do??

I think if he is drawing blood, that is more than enough. When he gets too wound up, it's time for a break. I would stop them, and put him in his crate. Mine play very rough, and they are all bullies, but sometimes they get "over wound up", and then I say that's enough, and quit. Bentley needs to learn to quit when you tell him, and give Coco a break. Like kids, they just don't know when to quit.

I agree with Lynn. I also tell them enough and they stop immediately. Time outs work wonders when they get too over stimulated. Be very precise and consistent with your commands. Use the same one each and every time. I always yell "enough" .

Yep, as soon as he gets too rough or too loud, stop the play and give a time out.

Ty for all the suggestions. We have started practicing time outs and a firm "no"
