    @David H glad you are leaving water out for him, that's great, plus what kind of crate do you have? Is it a wire or plastic? If its alas tic one they tend to get too hot in them. We have wire ctrates for all of ours and they sleep in them and stay in them during the day when we are gone. They like their crates and will go in there on their own when they want some quiet time. I would just crate train him and when you leave him home by himself, he will gladly go into his crate. This is the safest way for them to be when you are not at home. Keeps them out of mischief. Plus I was just kidding on the name change, glad to have you here with us.

    gotcha! thanks for your tips!! ill just leave the crate there for him. his crate is a wire crate as well!
