BEAN is once again available. Her first placement did not work out--she was just too active and busy. Bean needs a family who will be with her most of the day and who understand the she needs a lot of structure and stability. She needs a family that will commit to obedience training to give her some indoor manners. She is funny and talkative and a bit ADD. She is UTD on shots, microchipped, and crate trained. She was surrendered to a middle Tennessee shelter because she was an escape artist and was causing trouble in the neighborhood. She is lively, curious and always busy, she loves toys (at least for a few minutes!). She is underweight and has been treated for whipworms. She should gain weight with the proper food. She is young and very active. She needs a home with a secure yard where she can run off some of her energy. Inside she is very curious and will need lots of toys to keep her occupied and out of your things. She calms down when she is in her crate and recharges. She does learn quickly and is very food motivated. She would not do well around small children but older children (ages 9 and up) would be fine. She loves people but is not fond of other dogs however with some socialization that may not be a problem. If you have an active family that has time to give Bean attention and playtime please make sure you have filled out our application and contact Mari DeCuir mdecuir@utk.edu
