Everytime I upload pictures into the upload manager they come up sideways. Why is that? Anyone else having this problem?

I tagged Lisa to see if she has any suggestions... it happens to many of us and I have yet to figure out why.

I read somewhere that it was because the picture was too big MB wise. Now, what to do with that knowledge, if it is in fact true, I don't know! :w00t:

It happens often to me, but I found a trick, I usually upload them from iPad, and if I rotate them 4 times around and save changes (You will have to do it in 2 steps, that means 1 rotation, save, then 3 more and save, or 2 plus 2 etc, result it that it is in a normal upwards position and seems like no change was done, But then when you upload the photo, it will be perfect.

When I had my Samsung galaxy phone I had to take the photos in landscape mode. Got a ew phone for other reason and this one doesn't have that issue.

This happens when the device used to take the picture (iPhones do this among others), leave the photo in a certain orientation, then use hidden EXIF data within the image file to tell image viewers to rotate the image. This forum software (vBulletin) doesn't support reading the EXIF data and correcting the photo, it expects the photo to be in the correct orientation. Chances are that you won't have to worry about this for horizontal images, but you may for vertical images. Using a program like "Preview" on OSX to rotate the image and then save it will correct this behavior..

I found that if I resize my Photo it seems to upload in the right position.
