    You could put a wet tea bag on it(tannic acid) or use a zinc cream. Or maybe just check it-drawing attention to it may start him licking,which would be worse.

    HMMMM...wonder if Hills/Science diet has put a "bug" in their (FDA) ear. Their food has killed more dogs than any raw food-yet they want to feed dry food, cause raw is dangerous?

    Deer meat is okay for dogs. It is lower in fat.protein and cholesterol than beef,make sure it is cooked well. I would just give him a little at a time with his regular meals.

    Does she take lasix? Congestive heart failure? If not, she may have a uti. I've had many old dogs, and if healthy, shouldn't be peeing so much.I would have her checked out.

    Since I have always had 4 or 5 dogs at a time (mostly females) I have always had them spayed. I never had such a thing happen! I don't even understand that. Perhaps the vet didn't get all the tissue...
