I have been feeding my 5yr old female raw from Texas Tripe now for awhile with good results. I have added a golden retriever puppy to the mix (what my daughter wanted) and to continue to feed raw to them both would cost me a fortune. So I plan on buying my own meat and grinding it myself, I'm shooting for a months worth at a time. With that being said chicken and turkey seems to be the cheapest I can buy in bulk either from my local super market or meat market. I want to add beef to the mix so its not just chicken all the time. My question is this, what ratio of Meat to bone to organ meat should I feed? and what ratio of chicken and beef should I use? I am able to buy beef kidney and hearts at a descent price but want the bulk to be chicken. Any feed back would be appreciated.
