I wish all he did was lick.... we had to pry his mouth open on Friday night as he caught one and would not let it go. it was half in his mouth/half out. He was fighting us and had his jaw locked. The toad was fine, but Cheli foamed for about 15 minutes

Nah... We researched-- toads are harmless in our area. Some Frogs are the poisonous critters

LOL! I had to shoo my cat away from a toad this weekend.

Toads are not really poisonous, but their slime has irritating qualities, so it is better to avoid licking them. But Cheli looks very lovely!
