Age: 7
DOB: 11/28/2008
Gender: Male
Weight: 59lb
Energy Level: Average to low
Color & Markings: White and fawn
Good with other dogs: Only female dogs at this time, wonderful with the foster's female.
Good with cats: Did fine with the previous owners cat, but since he has been in his foster home and has gained strength and confidence he has been cat chasing and could unintentionally injure one. No cats.
Good with kids: Yes
Object Aggression: No
Special Needs:Needs daily cleaning of his folds and is currently eating Natural Balance sweet potato and venison kibble along with a mix of the same version in soft combined with pumpkin, for good digestive care.
Medications: No he does not require medications. He has been getting glucosamine supplements at his foster's, but it is not required.
Crate Trained: Working on this, he has separation anxiety and will need a crate when you are gone. He is also a whodini and will need zip ties on the crate joints otherwise he knows how to get out. Smart fellow. He is being fed in his crate as well as taking treats in there and he is very frequently going in on his own to rest, but when you are leaving him in there with the door shut he gets a little anxious. He has not escaped once since the foster zip tied the crate.
House Trained: Yes, he does fine with this while you are home and sleeps through a 8-10 hour night with no problem. The problem comes in when you leave and he will urinate on the bedding in his crate. If you remove the bedding from the crate he will only urinate a small bit, more like marking and this can be easily addressed by just using puppy pads in the crate. He is house broken, this behavior is reflective of separation anxiety.
Physical Fence Required: Would be best because he loves to roam the yard and lay in the sun, but he walks very well on a leash..
Adoption donation: TBD
