~Mugsy~English Bulldog Available for Adoption in Ohio
Please meet Mugsy! He came into BBR’s care as an owner surrender from someone who had taken him in after a friend could no longer keep him. It became clear to them after a few weeks that his skin issues were too much for them, and with having 3 other dogs in the home they felt it best to find him a rescue. Mugsy is a white English bulldog with tan markings, and he weighs around 47 pounds.
Mugsy is a happy & friendly bullie! He has A LOT of energy and wants a lot of attention. Mugsy will need to go to a home with a VERY ACTIVE family. He is GREAT with kids who will play with him, but because he tends to jump when he wants your attention, he will need a home where kids are 8 years and older. Mugsy also needs to learn some manners; sometimes when he takes treats he accidentally bites your hand to get them… although he seems to do fine when strangers give him treats.
Mugsy loves people and wants to be petted & loved on! He wants to play with other dogs, but can get aggressive over toys and can be protective of his owner. He would not be a good match for a home with a very dominate, or possessive, dog. If he wants to go out, he will sit by the door and give a little bark. He is great on a leash, loves bathes and knows "sit" & "shake". Mugsy has a lot of "puppy" in him, so be ready to run and play! He will sit on your lap and give you “ear kisses”!
Mugsy has EXTREMELY sensitive skin. Any changes to his diet, or environment, will cause hot spots. Mugsy MUST remain on a STRICT diet after adoption! If his diet is changed in ANY way, he will start to having issues with his skin.
Mugsy is neutered and up to date on shots. He is a great dog and will make a great addition to the right family. Please consider opening up your heart and giving Mugsy his loving furever home!
