Cannoli is one of the saddest cases of animal abuse Bullies 2 the Rescue has ever seen.
Upon intake, Cannoli was found wandering the streets of Wake County, NC and weighing a mere 26 lbs. She had recently given birth & we are still unsure of her exact age...although we believe she is still very young. She was rescued from an obvious gang situation, as she was tattooed all over her stomach (pictured above) and she was also filled with heartworms and intestinal worms. Cannoli is presently undergoing a slow holistic heartworm treatment, as her body is still too weak to undergo an aggressive route. She is now up to 55lbs though and feeling great! Her foster mom says that she is "a total lovebug...very cuddly & sweet". Cannoli's heartworm treatments in all will cost almost $2000!
With great sadness and joy.. I am happy to report that Cannoli is now heartworm free, spayed and ready to move on with her life. She is a VERY sweet bullie with a past she is ready to leave behind her. We will miss her terribly at the bungalow, but we are excited to see her in a new home with a loving family.
