Default Boscoe~~Available English Bulldog for Adoption in Lewiston, Maine

BOSCOE is located in Lewiston, Maine. His adoptive family must be prepared to pick him up at the time of adoption. Our rescue doesn't offer transport as an option.

He is a 1.5 yr old male, neutered, 45 lbs, cream and white. He is healthy and Up to Date on his shots.

He thinks he's the king of the castle, 1 other dog ok no kids.... Cats are okay.

This handsome gentleman has a few QUIRKS.....Boscoe is possessive of toys, so playtime must be his down time. No other pooches in the vicinity. He is showing Alpha traits--needs a strong, experienced pack leader. He is apprehensive at first- He needs slow, gradual introductions for some reassurance/fear issues with strangers. Once he is comfortable with you he warms up and is putty in your hands. He will give you kisses. He seems to prefer to women over men, but only until he knows you. He can get easily spooked by unfamiliar things and sounds and can use reassurance. His owners surrendered him to animal control because he nipped at a person he wasn't comfortable with yet.

Boscoe would do well in a quiet home with only one other dog and no kids. A chaotic, fast paced lifestyle would not be appropriate, or if you have kids. Boscoe isn't for a first time dog owner. A person or couple where someone is responsible to work with him meeting new folks, establishing an alpha role as the one on charge and be his main focus. Just a little patience and you win his heart. He hasn't learn to share his toys yet--- that a work in progress

The first step in adoption is to fill out an adoption application prior to contacting.
