HEWEY --8.5 year old neutered male
loves kids, cats and dogs!
Requires home without stairs. He also needs someone home most of the time, this gentleyman needs to go outside for his frequent potty breaks.
Hewey's story:
He was a dog considered urgent to get into LIBR care. We were told, "Do Not hit or kick the dog, he will bite". As the comment indicates he came from a very abusive home. He was not wanted by everyone in the family. They didn't think he was house trained so he lived outside in a small pen everyday all day. He spent his nights in a basement in a crate just big enough for a cat. He hadn't had medical treatment in awhile to the extend that we thought he might be deaf and somewhat blind. He was safe in his foster home within 24 hrs due to dedicated volunteers. Upon unpacking his belongings a note scribbled on cardboard stating again" Do Not hit or kick dog he will bite". He was bumping into everything and not always responding to sounds. The vet checked him from head to toe and immediately started treatment for eyes, ears and skin infections. His transformation slowly began, his ears,eyes and skin are no longer infected. His hearing and vision atelier much better. And he is potty trained, he just needs to go out every 3-4 hrs and no issues. He loves attention and cuddling and riding in the car. He is just all around a happy, sweet bully who is ready for his forever home by your side.
