  • Hugo is a little fat pig whenever I feed him boiled chicken! Stupidly I used to grilled tri-tip steak for him too. But thanks to you guys on this forum, I am learning a lot
From what I read on this site and elsewhere, it's only a small percentage of bulldogs that are sensitive to chicken. For the dogs that don't tolerate chicken well, I don't believe they react the same to real cooked/boiled chicken. Hugo will be fine.

I'm not even 100% sure Apollo is allergic, just trying to rule things out. I screwed up and got some Plato Turkey treats for them. They were half way through the bag before I realized it contained chicken too. And he's fine. No big deal. Hugo might not even have a problem with chicken at all. You just have to play around and watch how he responds to what he is being fed.
Yes, Apollo is doing pretty good with the fromm. He has loose stools every once in a while and I've found a little yogurt and pumpkin mixed has resolved it for the most part. I actually took the yogurt and pumpkin and a couple bananas, pureed it and froze it. They both love it. Their own little icecream with benefits. :) Now I am trying to find treats they can handle, grain and chicken free. I've tried a few different kinds now and they all have their pitfalls. The treats I have now are just too small so they are swallowing them whole or after one bite.
Stopping by to say, "Hello & Welcome!"

Hugo is so handsome, thank you for giving a great dog a great home
    and happiness. Much love, Carol
Mabel is about 4 years old--we aren't sure. She's a sweet little dog, but has never played and is slowly learning that life can be fun! If we can get on top of her medical issues, I think we'll have fun with her. One day at a time.
I thought Apollo might be having issues with the chicken in the Wellness. He started getting the chin bumps/acne and he was restless after eating, sometime lying there and whining for an hour or two. Tried serving it moist with no difference. I'm starting to think it wasn't the wellness at all but now they seem to like the Fromm.
Thank you so much! We adopted her a couple months ago. Hugo is so handsome--so distinguished-looking!
